The Port of Antwerp in Flanders, Belgium, is a port in the heart of Europe accessible to Capesize ships. It is Europe’s second-largest seaport. One of the pilot projects of the Port of Antwerp is developed with AllThingsTalk Spaces and has been implemented in the port. It provides life-saving buoys with IoT devices that can detect if any part of the equipment is missing. The alerts are sent via the LoRa network to the Port of Antwerp branded IoT platform, which then ensures that the information reaches the correct person for action.
