4 May 2018, Belgium. - AllThingsTalk and Orange Belgium today announced the partnership to promote the use of Orange’s Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and future LTE-M networks.
AllThingsTalk creates an IoT Product Platform-as-a-Service to enable business innovators and developers to build groundbreaking Internet of Things products. Orange is a leading provider of global IT and telecommunication services to multinational companies, under the brand Orange Business Services.
The narrowband technology provides significantly improved network coverage for Internet of Things communications, supports deeper coverage, a large number of connections, while lowering power consumption. It is viewed by the industry as the most appropriate solution for enterprise applications in a range of different areas, from utility meters, sensor monitoring to asset-tracking.
Both Orange and AllThingsTalk believe creative innovation is often initiated by individuals or smaller groups looking for tools to quickly materialise their ideas.
Therefore AllThingsTalk & Orange Belgium market the so-called NB-IoT Rapid Development Kits in combination with the Orange Mobile IoT network and the Orange IoT Maker application to manage and organise access to collected data. This combined offer enables innovators to quickly discover the power of the IoT technologies and start prototyping. Orange’s new IoT technologies cover close to 100% of the Belgian territory making it possible for companies to start putting the first IoT solutions in place.
